Who collects from this yard
Our Savannah walk-in trade is a genuine mix, and the one-unit minimum is why.
| Who | Typically collects | Grade |
|---|---|---|
| Garden City and port-corridor blenders | 20 – 80 units, delivered | Reconditioned |
| Coastal farms and nurseries | 4 – 20 units | Rinsed or as-is |
| Savannah breweries and distilleries | 2 – 8 units | Food grade + reconditioned |
| Construction contractors | 2 – 12 units | As-is |
| Pressure washing and facility services | 1 – 4 units | Rinsed |
| Homesteaders and rain harvesters | 1 – 2 units | Food grade |
| Fabricators and makers | 1 – 6 units | As-is |
| Municipal and emergency services | 10 – 40 units | Food grade |
We also serve Pooler, Garden City, Richmond Hill, Hinesville, Statesboro, Brunswick and Hilton Head Island on short-haul delivery, usually within two business days of order.

Collecting in person
Four things to know before you drive over
Vehicle and strapping
A 275 is 48 × 40 in and 132 lb empty — it fits a pickup bed but needs ratchet straps front and back. We load you with a forklift; strapping your own load is your responsibility and we will not do it for you.
Report to the scale house
Immediately on your left at the gate. Nobody should be walking a working yard with forklifts and a hydraulic press without somebody knowing they are there. Closed-toe shoes; vests are provided.
Reserve first for specific grades
Walk-in stock is good on reconditioned and as-is. Food grade moves quickly and is worth reserving with a request first — a wasted drive is nobody's idea of a good morning.
Parts are on the shelf
Gaskets, valves, lids, camlock and hose adapters are all stocked and can be bought in ones. If a nine-dollar gasket fixes your tote, that is a perfectly good reason to visit.
Why Savannah
An unusually good place to run this business
Three things make coastal Georgia work for a reclaimed container exchange. First, the port corridor through Garden City concentrates chemical blending, resin handling and food co-packing inside about fifteen miles — which is both where empties come from and where reconditioned units go back to.
Second, I-95 and I-16 meet here, so outbound freight reaches Florida, the Carolinas and the Southeast interior cheaply. Third, the climate: units stored outdoors here do not freeze, which removes the single most destructive failure mode in this trade.
The downside is humidity and sun. UV crazing happens faster on the Georgia coast than it does in Ohio, which is why our outdoor staging is shaded and why we talk about shade wraps more than a northern yard would.

- 01
Enter through the main gate and stop at the scale house
Immediately on your left. Every visitor signs in, including collections. It takes a minute and it means somebody knows you are in a yard with forklifts and a hydraulic press operating.
- 02
Trailers back along the north fence
Pull in, swing left, reverse along the fence line. Keep the apron in front of the wash bays clear during shift hours — it is the main working route.
- 03
Collections are staged by grade
If you reserved stock, it will be on the grading floor marked with your reference. Walk-in purchases are selected from the staged bays with a member of staff.
- 04
We load you; you strap your own load
A forklift operator will load. Strapping is yours — bring ratchet straps. An unstrapped 275 that goes over on Abercorn Street is a bad afternoon for everyone.
- 05
Closed-toe shoes; vests provided
No other PPE needed for a collection. If you are touring the wash line, eye protection as well.

What is usually on the floor in Savannah
Our own yard holds a different mix from the network average, because rebottling, UN marking and fabrication all happen here.

| 275 gal rinsed / as-is | 150 – 400 units | Always available |
| 330 gal reconditioned | 60 – 200 units | Thinner than 275 but usually in stock |

| Rebottled | Made to order | Bench is here; 7 – 12 days |
| Bare cages | 80 – 300 | Follows decommissioning work |
| Pallet bases, all types | 100 – 400 | Steel, plastic, composite, hardwood |
